Mass Ornaments on the Table Saw

You can never have enough Christmas decoration, right? There is a technique called “Reifendrehen” that involves a lathe, but you can use the basic principle to make a bunch of similar pieces on your table saw as well to produce mass ornaments. Watch the video to see how it works, and read on for some additional considerations and a video (not mine) about the original technique. Enjoy, and remember to be Inspired!

The Scrap Tree – Christmas Ornament

It is that time of the year again – the time where I have too much wood in the shop. No, actually, it is almost Christmas. So why not do something that helps you out with both? I present to you the Scrap Tree, a simple yet effective decoration, and one that will reduce your scrap heaps in the process. And as even more of a gift from me to you, you can find the Template for a mini-version here! Merry Christmas, and remember to be Inspired!

The Balance Tree – A wibbly-wobbly Christmas Ornament

I wanted to clock some lathe practice while making a Christmas ornament. The Balance Tree is the result of that paired with my desire to use different wood species to make things look more interesting as well as adding a hopefully unexpected twist to it. Using springs, even though it is winter! Enjoy, and remember to be Inspired!

The 2014 Christmas Song (You have been Warned!)

There is not much to say about this one. I just had to do this. I wish I had gotten around to it sooner, because now I had to rush things a little. But that that means my next songs will be even better, right? And if that does not scare you, then nothing will. Merry Christmas, and remember to be Inspired!

The Advent Puzzle – Christmas Tree in Pieces

A spin on the classic advent calendar, and as you might have guessed it is a non-lathe design. I actually wanted to make something on my mini lathe, too, but I do not think I will get it done in time. Anyway, I give you my Advent Puzzle, and the template to go along with it. Enjoy, and remember to be Inspired!
