Christmas is a great time for making things. So what better reason to introduce my olders daughter to the lathe in this newest Adventure in the Workshop? She makes a Christmas Tree Tealight Holder from walnut. Her patience for sanding is not the best, but as she says, this way you know you made it yourself. Please enjoy and share! And as always, remember to be Inspired!
Finally, here are the results for the Challenge Tree 2017! It was a fun ride, even though the event was smaller than in previous years. But I for one have learned a lot from it and I hope you did, too. Hope to see you again next year, and obviously on my next video which will not take quite as long. Please share this, and remember to be Inspired!
It has taken me way longer than expected to wrap the Challenge Tree up and get the drawing going, but I have to firmly believe that it was worth the wait. Thanks again to all those who participated and inspired, and of course also to the sponsors whose prizes might not make this possible as such but sure make it a lot more fun to to.
If you happen to be a winner I will get in touch with you to sort things out, and if not, there might still be next year. And I do hope that there was fun to be had this time around, too. So enjoy, and remember to be Inspired!
Akin to the official rules being part of this blog rather than the video in question, here is the list of winners (and their YouTube channels). Congratulations to everyone, not just those who found themselves picked, for a successful Tree Challenge!
After last year’s success, here comes the second Challenge Tree Contest for your challenging and woodworking pleasure! In this post you will find the rules as well as the full (or at least current) list of prizes that you can win! Enjoy, and remember to be Inspired!
The Scrap Bin is a fixed part of most wood shops, housing a huge amount of potential divided into pieces too small to be of any actual use – or so we tend to think. In the Scrap Bin Challenge, the idea is to use the pieces in the Scrap Bin for various projects, and today, a number of video woodworkers decided to do just that. Keep in mind to check out all their videos, and remember to be Inspired!

This is my entry for this year’s Scroll Saw Competition put on by Russ Claridy over at Simply Wooden Creations. While I still think that the name of the contest is pretty unwieldy, I do hope that you enjoy this video for the sheer reason that I tried to rhyme my way through it without reason. Enjoy, and remember to be Inspired!
Just in time, I managed to complete my entry for Whirligig Wars 2015. And since I do not have any minions in my shop to do all the boring and hard work, I decided to take a leaf out of the new Minions movie and depics how they evolved. Enjoy, and remember to be Inspired!
